Sanskrit-related Activities

Project Sanskrit Rasaaswad was conceived as an academic lecture series aimed at introducing the richness, diversity, and relevance of Sanskrit literature to a wider audience. The project sought to present Sanskrit not merely as a language but as a vast knowledge tradition encompassing philosophy, literature, governance, ethics, aesthetics, and spirituality.
The lecture series covered a wide range of subjects including:
Sukti Subhashita Literature.
Natyashastra
Ramayana
Smriti Literature
Kautiliya Arthashastra
Mahabharata
Bhagavad Gita
Vedanta Philosophy
The lectures were delivered by distinguished scholars including:
Dr. Uma Vaidya
Dr. Parinita Deshpande
Dr. Madhavi Narsale
Dr. Apurva Nibandhe
Dr. Prasad Bhide
The programme was initially conducted through offline lectures. Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the project could not continue in its original format. Nevertheless, the Foundation proposes to revive this initiative in future through specially designed programmes for school and college students.
1. Project Sanskrit Rasaaswad (2020–2021)
Project Sanskrit Subhashita is the Foundation's flagship academic initiative aimed at collecting, classifying, preserving, and promoting Sanskrit Subhashitas as valuable educational resources.
Phase I – Compilation and Documentation
The first phase focused on the systematic collection and classification of Sanskrit Subhashitas from authentic literary sources. The Foundation engaged Sanskrit scholars for identifying, compiling, proofreading, translating, and organising the verses under thematic categories such as:
2. Project Sanskrit Subhashita (2023–Present)
The Foundation initially targeted a collection of 300 Subhashitas. Through sustained scholarly efforts, the collection has expanded to approximately 700 carefully curated Subhashitas, with a long-term objective of compiling 1,000 educationally relevant Subhashitas

Phase II – Outreach through Schools
The second phase seeks to translate this scholarly work into a structured educational outreach programme.
With the permission received from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, the Foundation proposes to introduce carefully selected Sanskrit Subhashitas to students of Standards V to VIII through joyful, activity-based learning sessions conducted during the academic year 2026–2027.
The Pilot Outreach Programme will initially cover 24 Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation schools, benefiting approximately 500–600 students. The programme aims to develop a sustainable educational model that can subsequently be expanded to additional schools and educational institutions.
Teaching will be supported by a specially designed bilingual workbook titled Mulyasanskar Subhashita Pustika, interactive classroom activities, student enrichment programmes, and expert interactions.
The Foundation believes that this initiative will contribute significantly to promoting Sanskrit among young learners while simultaneously nurturing ethical values, cultural awareness, and appreciation of India's rich intellectual heritage
